Covid lockdowns have affected many countries worldwide, and the latest surge to hit Nepal was compounded by an entire disrupted year that impacted the economies of tourism, imports and exports, and remittances from workers abroad. Nepalis were not just sick fighting the virus, but struggling to put food on the table. The need was clear and through our reliable partners on the ground, we provided food to many families during the height of the worst pandemic wave. Single mothers, people with disabilities, and village families received essential items like rice and dal.
