NEPAL
Two weeks after the devastating aftermath of the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, we teamed up again with the Ugandan Water Project (UWP) and Impact Nations to bring one thousand water filters to heavily damaged communities in Nepal. David and Richard (from UWP) collaborated with Five14, a vibrant social enterprise helping to prevent human exploitation through tourism and adventure travel services. Five14 was also instrumental in connecting us with two other organizations whom David and Richard trained to operate and maintain the filters.
We also partnered with MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) to bring fifty water filters via helicopter to the remote community of Laprak. The village was destroyed so the people were living on top of the mountain in tents. This was just the beginning of multiple water filter trips to this land of mountains and picturesque valleys.
I Thirst International was privileged to serve the beautiful people of Nepal with access to clean water during their hour of crisis.
